To strengthen our IT department at our Kiel location, we are looking to fill the following full-time position as soon as possible:
Senior Developer (m/f/d) JAVA
**What you will drive:**
- Development of Java applications for merchandise management, including:
- Data persistence in relational databases, ORM (Spring Data, JPA, Hibernate)
- Web interfaces (REST, GraphQL, Spring Web, Spring Security)
- Import and export interfaces (CSV, EANCOM)
- Batch processing (Spring Batch)
- Deployment on application servers (Tomcat)
- Unit and integration tests
- Participation in the design of applications and development processes in the context of merchandise management
- Creation of technical documentation
- Supporting operations in running the applications
- Application support (third level)
**What impresses us:**
- Several years of experience developing business-critical applications with Java
- Experience with the Spring Framework (Boot, Data, Security, Web, Batch), JPA, and Hibernate
- Experience developing REST APIs
- Confident use of standard development tools (e.g., git, GitLab, IDEs) and the command line (primarily Linux)
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Solid foundational understanding of modern IT architectures
- Independent and responsible working style
- Strong communication skills
- Experience writing clear and meaningful technical documentation is desirable
- Basic knowledge of Adabas/Natural is a plus
