The (Sr.) DevOps Engineer plays a pivotal role in managing Zertificon Operational Services (ZOS) platforms and environments where Zertificon products are developed, tested and run. The role ensures infrastructure health and security to guarantee smooth and uninterrupted development on our various stages. This role contributes to risk mitigation ensuring operational resilience and strengthening the company through: - Proactive maintenance and monitoring of Zertificon environments ensuring their availability and full functionality. - Maintenance of production and R&D hardware, supporting releases and troubleshooting on pipelines. - Ownership and management of our R&D smart self-service solutions. ### Responsibilities **Infrastructure & Automation** - Design, building and maintenance of automated IT infrastructure (on-premise & cloud) - Solve internal customer needs with infrastructure, tooling and self-service - Develop and extend CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Ansible and Terraform - Introduce Kubernetes as alternative orchestration platform **Monitoring & Maintenance** - Manage monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana) and plan strategic alerts - Maintain environments: Hardware testing, installation, patches, OS, certificates, firmware **Containerization & Cloud** - Manage, troubleshoot and automate container clusters (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, hypervisors) - Work with cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) **Collaboration** - Contribute to a team of 4-6 in SaaS development, troubleshooting and improvements - Review scripts, playbooks, manifests and pull requests for code quality ### Qualifications - Experience with container technologies (images, registries, Kubernetes) - Strong understanding of Ansible for configuration management - Proven experience with Kubernetes cluster configuration and management - Solid understanding of Docker, CI/CD pipelines and Git - Experience using Terraform - Basic datacenter expertise with firewalls, switches, routers, cabling and servers - Experience with Microsoft Azure and M365 products - Excellent English language skills and effective communication - Knowledge of databases (backup, restore, troubleshooting, migration) and InfoSec (TCP/IP, certificates) **Join us to shape, secure and scale Zertificon’s platforms as part of a team.** ### We offer: - **Flexible hours** and **home office** options - **Mobility:** free Germany-wide public transport ticket, bike leasing, or parking - **Subsidies for meals:** (e.g., delivery services) and home office internet - **Urban Sports Club membership** for flexible fitness and wellness - **Office perks:** rooftop terraces & green courtyard, organic fruit and drinks, personal packages accepted at the office - **Get-togethers:** monthly Pizza Friday, regular team events, big summer party - **Responsible leadership:** structured onboarding, regular feedback, clear goals - **Innovative without startup risk:** profitable for 20+ years, self-funded innovation with strong global potential - **International team:** 120+ colleagues from 30+ countries, open and collaborative culture **If that resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you.** Want to know more?
