Senior Data / Machine Learning Engineer

Location: Stuttgart (Hybrid / Remote possible) Experience: Minimum 5 years of industry experience Level: Senior ### Your Role You build the foundation for how data is systematically collected, structured, and made usable long-term across the company — and derive concrete models and decision logic from it. The focus is not just on data availability, but on what can actually be done with the data: from structured data foundations to scoring models, recommender systems, or other data-driven mechanisms. Our software is not built from scratch on a greenfield, but as the incremental digitization of a decision model actively used in practice. The focus is on sustainable product development and connecting individual building blocks — not on isolated analyses or project-based work. You work closely with Engineering and domain teams and actively bring data-driven thinking into the company. What matters to us is not which technologies you have worked with before, but that you have already taken on responsibility in production systems. You can work your way into new technologies in a structured way with time and support. You work in a small, cross-functional team (<10 people) with short decision-making paths, a lot of direct influence, and without the typical coordination loops of larger organizations. We grow deliberately and place more value on focus and product quality than on pure headcount.
