Then apply as a **Software Developer – Cloud Applications and Frontend (m/f/d)** This is how we make the energy transition happen. *This position is limited to 2 years.* The energy transition is accelerating the digitalization of our energy infrastructure. With neonpulse, we are building the technological foundation to integrate measurement and sensor data securely, performantly, and in a standardized way into a wide range of target systems. Our platform is live in production and is being continuously developed. The focus is both on the stability of the existing middleware and on integrating new technologies and use cases. As a Cloud Developer, you will advance our cloud and middleware services, ensure scalable backend processes, and bring your experience in cloud architectures, deployments, and interfaces. You will also develop frontend components and internal tools using JavaScript and React to support configuration, monitoring, and operational workflows. You will work closely with development teams, operations, and product management, contribute to technical decisions, and continuously grow your expertise. If you'd like to learn more about neonpulse and our platform, feel free to reach out to Thomas. --- **A role that challenges you** - **Middleware Development & IoT Data Processing:** You develop and operate middleware services for the neonpulse platform to process telemetry data securely and performantly between IoT backends and third-party systems. - **Cloud Development & Service Advancement:** You work on cloud applications using Java and Spring Boot and extend existing services both functionally and technically. - **Databases & SQL Optimization:** You design and optimize integrations with Microsoft SQL databases, implement complex SQL queries, and use Hibernate and JPA for performant data access. - **Deployment & Cloud Operations:** You own operations and deployment in Microsoft Azure and use Terraform for infrastructure automation. - **CI/CD Pipelines & Automation:** You develop and maintain GitLab CI pipelines to ensure stable, automated build and deployment processes. - **API Design & Service Communication:** You implement REST APIs as well as gRPC/Protobuf interfaces for reliable service-to-service communication. - **Frontend Tools & Internal Applications:** You develop internal tools and frontend components using JavaScript and React — e.g. dashboards, configuration UIs, or monitoring interfaces. - **Teamwork & Platform Development:** You collaborate closely with cloud, backend, frontend, and operations teams and contribute to the advancement of the overall platform. --- - **Professional Background:** You hold a degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a comparable qualification with relevant experience. - **Cloud & Backend Experience:** You bring at least five years of experience in cloud and backend development — ideally in an IoT or platform environment. - **Java & Databases:** You have solid knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL. - **Cloud Expertise:** You have experience working with cloud platforms (ideally Microsoft Azure) as well as Infrastructure as Code, e.g. Terraform...
