Our team of strategists, architects, and developers designs innovative data and AI platforms and implements projects that create tangible value for customers and the organisation. What awaits you? - Design, development, training, validation, and continuous optimisation of ML models for production-grade automotive use cases, covering the full lifecycle from initial prototype to long-term operation. - Hands-on work with large-scale, heterogeneous engineering, vehicle, and business data, transforming complex data landscapes into robust, high-performing models. - End-to-end ownership of model performance, robustness, explainability, and lifecycle management in real-world business environments. - Deployment of models into productive systems, including operational monitoring and iterative improvement based on real-world feedback and performance metrics. - Close collaboration with data stewards, platform engineers, and solution architects to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant AI solutions. - Active contribution to lighthouse use cases and to the establishment of best practices and standards for industrial-grade AI development at BMW. - A university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, Physics, or comparable qualifications. - At least five years of professional experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML models in a business or industrial setting. - Proven success in bringing models from research or prototype stage into productive, value-generating operations. Experienced in working within agile, cross-functional teams with a strong sense of ownership and delivery focus. - Strong expertise in modern ML methods (e.g., deep learning, time series, NLP, multimodal models) and their practical limitations. - Hands-on experience with Python-based ML stacks and production environments (training, inference, monitoring). - A solid understanding of data quality, bias, robustness, and compliance requirements for enterprise AI systems. - Very good written and spoken English skills.
